The establishment of Devram Laxman Bhoir Degree College of Arts, Commerce, and Science at Balkum, Thane, fulfilled Dr. Devram Bhoir’s vision of providing education from KG to PG.
In 2020, Vidya Prasarak Sanstha received approval from the University of Mumbai to start the degree college, and despite the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, it began with 90 students in the existing school building.
As enrolment grew, the shortage of classrooms became a major concern. With limited funds for new construction, Mr. Sanjay Bhoir helped the Sanstha secure a building from the Thane Municipal Corporation. This enabled the senior college’s management to be handed over to Sankalp Seva Mandal – Dhokali, ensuring continued growth and stability.
